Apeks high perfomance regulators and more

Apeks is a scuba equipment manufacturer based in England that has been manufacturing dive equipment for about thirty years.

This company is known primarily for their excellent regulators. These regulators have seen more than their fair share of world record deep dives and Apeks’ reputation for high quality regulators have attracted more than a few suitors.

In the past Apeks has been associated with both Zeagle and Aqualung. Though their relationship with Zeagle has dissolved over the years, their partnership with Aqualung is still strong.

In addition, Apeks regulators were the first to meet the European Union’s standards for safety and earn the CE mark (Conformité Européenne).

Apeks is a solid brand and a good brand to consider whether you plan on diving to insanely deep depths or looking around coral reefs. This company offers a full line of products. In addition to regulators, Apeks offers buoyancy control devices, computers, mask and snorkels.

Here’s a little more about Apeks.

Apeks History

Apeks is a 30 year old company that’s based out of England (Apeks is the only regulator manufacturer in the UK). Apeks was founded by Ken Ainscough and Eric Partington. Both men were avid divers and Ainscough used his engineering background to establish Apeks as one of the premier producers of high quality regulators.

Though the company is known for their high performance regulators, they offer a full range of products. They export around 70% of their line to 50 different companies around the world.

In addition to supplying quality equipment to divers around the world, Apeks also supplies equipment to the Royal British Navy as well as other divisions of the armed forces.

Apeks Claim to Fame

As I mentioned before, Apeks is trusted by some of the world’s most hard-core divers. In fact, John Bennett was the first man ever to dive below 1,000 feet (300 m) and he got there using an Apex regulator. Bennett crossed the 1,000 foot mark while breathing the Apeks TX100.

Another deep diver, Bjarte Vestol, uses Apeks regulators while diving some of the coldest waters in the world. The regulators still breathe well in temperatures just above the point of freezing. Vestol and Bennett have used about 25 Apeks regulators between the two of them in some of the harshest and most demanding environments imaginable and neither one has ever experienced any problems.

Today Apeks is trusted by technical divers, military personal and recreational divers alike.

All regulator manufactures produce products that are safe to use in everyday diving conditions, but there are a few dive equipment companies that set a higher bar for their products.

Few, however, set the bar as high as Apeks does. These regulators have been on the deepest and coldest dives known to man and have performed perfectly. The British Navy uses Apeks regulators during mine counter measures and numerous divisions of armed forces around the world do the same.

If you’re looking for high performance equipment at a price that’s less than the gross national product of a developing nation, take a look at what Apeks has to offer. You won’t be disappointed.
