Filling tanks is dangerous. Each 80 cubic foot (2.3 cubic m) cylinder has the power of 2 ½ sticks of dynamite when it’s full.

If something goes wrong, you don’t want to be anywhere near the tank when it ruptures.

That’s why the Unicus III has a built-in containment fill station. This containment station could save your life if a tank ruptures.

I was in awe the first time I saw one of these systems.

I was right on the coast with a coral reef right off the shore. One of these babies was parked right in front of the entry point.

You could dive all day without ever leaving the beach. Nice.

Of course, this trailer was modified to fill scuba cylinders instead of scba cylinders and there were no containment compartments, but you get the idea.

Owning an air compressor isn’t for everyone. In fact, very few people should even think about buying one.

The risks are too great. You could fill a tank with contaminated air or even cause a tank to explode. It’s not worth it to save a couple of bucks for an air fill.
