Not everyone's head is the same shape, so people have big heads, some small, some have big noses others small the list goes on.
Scuba Mask selection is not hard, but it is very important to get the right fit for your face, the last thing you want is to have a diving mask that is uncomfortable and leaks.
Scuba Mask Selection
Here is a couple of tips to help you choose the best fitting scuba mask. If you cannot do any of the following, try another mask, there are lots of them around just waiting for you to buy them!
1. Remove the Straps Not physically from the scuba mask, but place straps so they fall in front of the lense of your diving mask. Make sure they are out of the way.
2. Place Scuba Mask on your Face Look to the ceiling of the shop your in and place the scuba mask on your face.
3. Make sure it Fits Make sure the skirt of the scuba mask makes contact with your entire face. Concentrate on the comfort around your nose.
4. Inhale through your Nose Whilst the scuba mask is on your face, slightly inhale through your nose, if the mask is a good fit it will stay on your face without the use of your hands. It should also be comfortable.
5. Try Again This is the most important part, if the diving mask comes off or you need to push it on to keep it there, you need to try another mask. Keep trying till you get it right.
