Scubapro Jet Fins not for everyone but very useful!

Scubapro Jet Fins.

If you’ve been reading my site for any amount of time, you’ll know that I make no secret about my affection for the Mares Quattro fin.

I believe I even said that they have an “iconic status.” As much as I like the Mares Quattro, I have to admit that there’s one fin that tops my Quattros on the diving icon totem pole – the Scubapro Jet Fins. Scubapro Jet Fins Scubapro Jet Fins made their first appearance on the diving scene in 1965 and they remain unchanged to this day.

Not even the Mares Quattro can claim that honor. So what does it take to be a legendary piece of diving equipment for over 40 years? It’s nothing more than a simple, effective design.

The Scubapro Jet Fin is nothing more than a solid hunk of rubber. No fancy technologies, no crazy propulsion techniques; just a big, heavy cut of rubber ready to propel you through the water.

So how does such a simple fin survive for so long?

They survive by being the most effective and durable fin on the market.

I mean, how do you propose breaking these things? There are no levers or flaps to break. There are no pieces of thin material to wear or break away, and good luck bending this thing.

You’d have better luck ripping a phone book.

The stiff and heavy makeup of Scubapro Jet Fins is also what makes them so effective. They may be smaller than most fins, but they pack every bit as much of a punch as the more modern and more expensive fins.

Advantages of Scubapro Jet Fins

Technical divers in particular are partial to Scubapro Jet Fins. These fins pack a massive wallop for their puny size and that has its advantages.

One major advantage of the Jet Fin’s small size is that they’re easy to maneuver in small spaces. That makes Scubapro Jet Fins a natural choice for cavern divers, cave divers and wreck divers.

With the Scubapro Jet Fins, these divers are able to move through the water easily without worrying about kicking up a lot of silt.

Now let’s talk turkey.

How much are these wonder fins going to cost? You’ll be happy to know that the Scubapro Jet Fins are some of the least expensive fins in the entire world. You can pick up a pair of these little beauties for around $70 a pair.

I dare you to find a fin that costs less and has as many positive reviews. Go ahead. Open another tab on your browser and Google it. I’ll wait.

It doesn’t take long to confirm what I’ve been telling you. Scubapro Jet Fins are simple, effective, inexpensive, and have a cult-like following.

Few beginners buy the Jet Fins; they’re just too ugly. But after they spend awhile diving in their pretty designer fins that claim to mimic an underwater jet engine or something equally as ridiculous, they’ll come to their senses and realize that no product lasts for 40 years without a good reason.

Still don’t believe me?

Go pick up a pair and give them a try. Once you go Jet Fin Black, you never go back.

Have you got a pair of Scubapro Jet Fins?

How long have you had your Jet Fins? What do you like about your Scubapro Jet Fins? What do you dislike about them? Are they worth the money? What type of diving do you use them for?
